How does shot tracking with MySmartGolf work?

Following registration, the player is prompted to enter information regarding his or her game and the clubs he or she carries. Information about the golf course or courses that the player plays is also entered.

On the golf course, the golfer records shot information about his or her round on a specially designed golf statistics scorecard specific for the golfer and the particular golf course. After the round, the golfer refers to the card to enter round information into the golfer’s profile on the MySmartGolf web site.

Personal golf statistics for both the latest round and cumulative rounds are analyzed and displayed to allow viewing at whatever level of detail the golfer desires.

After each round entry, the golfer receives a personalized email with a summary of that round. In addition, after every five rounds the golfer receives a personalized evaluation of up to seven specific areas of his or her game. The evaluation includes a performance assessment and points out trends of improvement or decline. Based on the player’s ability and the MySmartGolf teaching professionals’ evaluation, MySmartGolf pinpoints areas of the golfer’s game where golf instruction or practice would be most productive

The player can bring the evaluation to his or her teaching professional or allow the teaching professional access to the MySmartGolf web site to review the player's evaluations and golf statistics before a lesson. For golfers not using a teaching professional, the evaluations include links to the appropriate MySmartGolf video instruction
